Not-for-profits accused over rent up-front approach to homeless seniors

BALTIMORE: Not-for-profits have created a major financial obstacle for homeless seniors finding accommodation despite it being a duty of care governance issue.

The study says forcing potential tenants to pay a month’s rent ‘up-front’ poses an insurmountable barrier for many homeless people in receipt of benefits or on low wages.
