CHICAGO: Continuous care retirement communities (CCRCs) are marginalizing the stand-alone assisted living and memory care markets.
A poll of 300 senior living industry executives showed that 59% agree that CCRCs are decreasing nursing beds and adding more memory care and assisted living units. Nine percent strongly agree, while 21% neither agree nor disagree, 10% disagree and just 1% strongly disagree.
