Why diabetes ‘raises risk of getting dementia by 60%’

diabetesPHILADELPHIA: Patients who suffer from Type 2 diabetes have a 60 per cent higher chance of developing dementia, according to a study.

The study author said diabetics can cut their chances of dementia by giving up smoking and drinking, exercising more and eating healthily.

She added: “The take-home message is that for many people – with and without diabetes – dementia is not inevitable”…
