LOS ANGELES: The Art of Alzheimer’s will present The Artist Within, the first exhibition of its kind, featuring 50 artworks by individuals age 60-101 living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, opening Jan. 8 and on dis-play through Feb. 26, 2016.
Surprising, delightful and inspiring, these works of art may open hearts and minds to a different way of thinking about dementia. They allow the viewer to see — though the mind of the artist has changed — they are still here, living with dignity, creativity and joy.
