Shared house ‘hostel’ idea backheeled by planners

shared-house-hostel150x150PHOENIX: Planners have rejected proposals to convert a former nursing home into a house of multiple occupation after neighbours feared it would simply become a ‘hostel’.

The former skilled nursing home had been earmarked for a conversion into a 22 bedsit rooms with shared kitchen and dining facilities.

The applicant insisted the property would be designed for professional people, and stated that all clients would have to be employed…
