NEW YORK: The seventieth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.
The Medfield Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing on a proposal to build an assisted living complex behind the historic Peak House and Clark Tavern on Route 109.
LCB Senior Living LLC, based in Norwood, applied for a special permit in late October to build the 78-unit complex on 17 acres at 361 and 363A Main St.
The proposal has met significant backlash from area residents who argue that the 2½-storey complex does not fit in with the aesthetic and historical value of the surrounding area.
