Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy1 NEW YORK: The thirty-third entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has released $25 million to pay for the Ardie R. Copas State Veterans’ Home in Tradition.

The money was released earlier this week and will pay 65 percent of the $39.7 million needed to build the 120-bed facility, said Steve Murray, communications director of the Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

The state will pay the remaining $13.9 million.
