Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy1NEW YORK: The eight hundred and eleventh entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.

The Missoula Redevelopment Agency will spend $488,000 in tax increment financing to purchase a parcel of property in the Old Sawmill District for an affordable housing project.

MRA’s board of directors this week agreed to buy the property from the Millsite Revitalization Project and sell the parcel to Homeword for $238,000. The remaining $250,000 will be subsidized.

The nonprofit works to provide affordable housing to seniors, veterans and survivors of domestic violence.
