Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy1NEW YORK: The seven hundred and sixty-third entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.

Newcastle City Council’s planning committee will decide the fate of five projects, which could see a total of 905 multigenerational homes built at developments across the city, including at Forth Banks near the Stephenson Quarter, the former Newcastle Daily Journal site, and the former Throckley First School.

Councillors have been advised to approve all five schemes.

The plans for the former Liquid site, submitted by Magnetic Ltd, would also see a cafĂ© and restaurant created in the Grade-II listed John Dobson House, along with some restoration work taking place…
