NEW YORK: The six hundred and sixty-fourth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.
The first batch of houses at a major new housing development which includes “affordable” homes are up for sale – but the cheapest one will still set you back at least £399,000.
Fairview New Homes has said it has received a high level of interest in the three and four-bedroom properties being built on land south of The Old Convent, in Moat Road.
But critics say the cost of the family homes at the development, known as Meridian Village, are “extortionate”.
A total of 74 homes are in the process of being built on two parcels of land either side of Moatfield Surgery, 18 of which are described as “affordable” and designed for people with a local connection at a reduced rate.
