The fourth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2017 has been received.
BK Partners — comprised of Charlotte’s The Conformity Corp., New York-based The Peebles Corp. and Stantec — will develop 17 acres of publicly owned land in uptown’s Second Ward, two parcels of underused land that will become a dense, mixed-use, mixed-income project. It’s an initiative that aims to reinvigorates that part of center city and pay homage to Brooklyn, a predominately African-American community that was displaced in the 1960s by an urban-renewal initiative.
