NEW YORK: The five hundred and sixty-first entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.
A 140-unit luxury senior housing apartment community is on the drawing board for 5.2 acres on Mallory Station Road in Franklin.
On Sept. 22, Irvine, Calif.-based real estate investor Avenida Partners will seek Franklin Municipal Planning Commission approval of its development plan for Avenida at Cool Springs. The company also wants to rezone the targeted site at 222 Mallory Station Road from general office to a special development residential zoning designation.
If all approvals are obtained, a groundbreaking ceremony could occur early next year for the $30 million, 187,000-square-foot project that’s expected to include 189 parking spaces. Franklin Radio Associates Inc. is the current owner of the 5.2 acres, which includes a building that houses radio station WAKM AM-950.
The three-story, age-restricted Avenida at Cool Springs apartments would be the first Nashville area project for Avenida Partners, whose managing partner is Robert May.
