NEW YORK: The four hundred and eighteenth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.
A proposed housing development for moderate-income seniors is one step close to being built in Ashville, thanks to a 2016 Housing Tax Credit program award. Frontier Community Services and LW Associates have been announced as recipients of the award for the development of Miller Commons.
If completed, Miller Commons would offer 40 residential apartments to seniors aged 55 and over. Each two-bedroom unit would feature an open floor plan to maximise liveable space, and would be outfitted with energy star rated appliances and safety features.
