Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophyNEW YORK: The three hundred and ninety-first entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

The first of its kind in Hawaii, Kalākaua Gardens will provide independent living, assisted living, memory care, rehabilitation services and Medicare-approved skilled nursing and hospice, all under the same roof.

The community is managed by Avalon Health Care Group and is spread across a 17-floor complex with views of the surrounding island. Residents will enjoy ‘ohana’ style living, which is a distinct life approach that is masterfully curated and centered around family, friendships, community, hobbies and exceptional health and well-being.

Kalākaua also plans to have its own gentle and well-trained dog for the residents. The community plans to open in early July and has limited spaces available for potential residents.
