Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophyNEW YORK: The three hundred and sixty-eighth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

The ribbon has been cut on a new 61-unit independent living facility for low-income seniors in the community of Pineridge in northeast Calgary.

But advocates are calling affordable seniors’ housing an urgent issue, saying the new facility doesn’t make a dent in the number of units needed in the next couple of decades.
