Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy NEW YORK: The three hundred and fifty-second entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

Officials are deciding whether to try and buy land it once sold to a developer seeking to build a hotel, and now might be used to construct an assisted-living facility.

In 2014, the town sold five acres on Old Quarry Road, once part of the Schlumberger office complex, to developer Steve Zemo, who is now a selectman. Zemo, who is recusing himself from deliberations on the matter, said an organisation is interested in buying the land, but a clause included in the original sale allows Ridgefield to make an offer before the property is sold…
