Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy NEW YORK: The one hundred and seventy-third entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

Carnes Crossroads, located at the intersection of U.S. highways 176 and 17A in Goose Creek, is expected to house 15,000 people when development is complete.

“Nexton is approved for 13,000 residential units, but we don’t expect that they’ll have density to be greater than 9,000,” Seeger said.

WestRock is planning to build a retirement community later this year with 1,000 single-family homes. Construction will also begin this year on a new community called Northcreek adjacent to Nexton that will include 600 homes and 250 apartment units, Seeger said.
