Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy NEW YORK: The one hundred and sixty-ninth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

Councillors have welcomed a £3.9 million investment in Barton to help transform homes and facilities on the estate.

Oxford City Council announced on Thursday that it is set to invest the multi-million sum into the community of about 4,000 residents, just a day after councillors approved the first 237 homes to be built at the new Barton Park estate.

The work includes improvements to all the blocks of flats on the estate, ‘Welcome to Barton’ street signs and an extension of the health centre in the neighbourhood centre and the transformation of Underhill Circus.
