NEW YORK: The one hundred and ninety-ninth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.
McCarthy & Stone’s free Entitlement Advice Service has helped homeowners and prospective buyers claim more than £3.6million in unclaimed pension credits and housing benefits since the service was launched in 2011.
According to the Department for Work and Pensions’s latest figures from 2013-2015, more than £3.5billion in pension credits and housing benefits has been left unclaimed by pensioners.
These include anything from winter fuel payments and cold weather payments to single occupant council tax discounts and attendance allowances for severely disabled people over the age of 65 who need help with personal care.
