NEW YORK: The one hundred and ninth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.
Opponents of a proposed senior living complex on Main Street recently aired their concerns before Medfield’s Zoning Board of Appeals, saying the building would dwarf the nearby Peak House and Clark Tavern and detract from the historic character of the neighborhood.
Dozens of residents packed into Medfield Town Hall on Jan. 27 to debate Norwood-based LCB Senior Living LLC’s request for a special permit to build a 78-unit complex in the residential area of 361 and 363A Main St.
Critics of the project cited concerns such as increased traffic on Route 109, the complex’s size and proximity to the Peak House, and environmental issues regarding nearby aquifers.
