Ex-employee of Catholic nursing home suing Archdiocese

booksDALLAS: A 68-year-old ex-employee of a network of Catholic skilled nursing homes is suing the Archdiocese alleging he was fired last year because of his age.

The ex-employee charged that a rival employee smeared him as a “dirty old man” and made jokes at his expense.

“These age-related jokes included making fun of the fact that, at age 67, the plaintiff had four children who were barely teenagers,” court papers claim.

The claimant, who worked in human resources, says management accused him of leering at women on the job. “He was accused of ‘undressing women with his eyes’ (something that is a physical impossibility), and not something the plaintiff did even metaphorically. It is a sham accusation,” papers read.
