Developer shelves 21 storey senior apartment tower

st camillusMIAMI: A health centre has pulled back on plans for a 21-storey senior housing tower, but is seeking approval for its other planned expansions and is likely to take another shot at the tower proposal next year.

The not for profit last spring sought city approvals for a two-phase project. That included new assisted-living and multigenerational housing. A second phase included a new senior apartment tower. The smaller buildings did not generate debate, but the 21-storey tower drew concerns during public hearings.
