research150BOSTON: Researchers studying dementia and Alzheimer’s say agitation is common or patients, but no one knows what triggers it. Soon, they might.

The Behavioral and Environmental Sensing and Intervention (BESI) Project, should one day predict what upsets a patient with dementia who can’t voice the issue.

Martha Anderson is a researcher on the study and an Assistant Professor at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine as well as an Advanced Practice Gerontological Nurse.
