‘Breakthrough’ discovery can stop memory loss

Scientists hope the pioneering therapy, which is in final stage trials, will be made widely available to patients within four to five years.

Dr Emer MacSweeney a world leading expert on Alzheimer’s who is helping enrol patients into the trial said: “This potentially marks a major turning point in Alzheimer’s treatment.
