Age care compounds becoming soft crime targets

But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat.

1004: A skilled nursing home worker was caught by horrified colleagues molesting an elderly Alzheimer’s sufferer.

The victim of the attack, who was 73 at the time, has since died. But the carer is now facing jail after being found guilty of sexually assaulting her.
