Age care compounds becoming soft crime targets

But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat.

978: A nurse pretended to be pregnant to get out of working night shifts at a skilled nursing home, a tribunal heard. She forged a letter from a Women’s Hospital as part of a cunning plot to avoid working after dark.

She has now been banned from nursing for eight months due to her “wholly unacceptable” behaviour.
