But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat:

277: A man has been warned he has “a sword hanging over his head” after being given a nine-month suspended sentence for an attack on his neighbour.

He was convicted over an assault on an elderly neighbour after what the court heard was a long-running animosity between the pair.
