Professor alleviates dementia fears of the “worried well”

JACKSONVILLE: Scores of the “worried well” fear they have degenerative memory conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease when the problem is just brain overload.

At least one patient a week was convinced that forgetting things such as their car keys, or to collect their children, was the result of a serious brain condition.

The department is preparing to study the prevalence of the phenomenon…
