NEW YORK: The three hundred and twenty-third entry for the seniors housing Global Award for 2015 has been received.
NHC Place, Sumner, with its 172 beds, is the “prototype” for projects in Bellevue, Hermitage and Maury County, said Gerald Coggins, senior vice president of corporate relations at NHC.
There are 90 beds in the skilled nursing wing. Of the 82 assisted living beds, 22 are for assisted living. The others are for seniors who are independent but want, or need, extra support and smaller living accommodations.
The entrance to the multi-wing facility is like a hotel with high ceilings and plush furnishings. It’s configured to accommodate people in a variety of stages, ranging from independent, mobile-assisted living residents to those who need structured activities in the memory care wing.
