NEW YORK: The two hundred and seventy-ninth entry for the seniors housing Global Award for 2015 has been received.
The Archdiocese of Miami is getting a continuing care retirement community on the campus of St. John XXIII Catholic Church off Interstate 75 in Miramar.
Casa Sant’Angelo has 75 independent living apartments, 13 assisted living units and 24 memory care units. The facility, scheduled to open in 2017, will be run by Catholic Health Services.
Similar communities are planned for Broward and Palm Beach counties, said Maria Miranda, a spokeswoman for Catholic Health Services.
