Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

NEW YORK: The two hundred and sixty-seventh entry for the seniors housing Global Award for 2015 has been received.

An affordable-housing transit-oriented development at Regional Transportation District’s Yale Station in Denver was developed by Mile High Development LLC and Koelbel and Co. Inc.

The 66-unit, four-story project is called Garden Court Yale Station.

The apartments at Garden Court Yale Station are workforce housing, or residences that are affordable to working adults in households earning up to 60 per cent of the area median income.

The units range in size from 591 to 941 square feet and one RTD EcoPass is included in the rent for each unit.

The project was designed by J.G. Johnson Architects and Taylor Kohrs was the general contractor.
