Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

NEW YORK: The two hundred and sixteenth entry for the seniors housing Global Award for 2015 has been received.

John Wardle Architects’ Melbourne School of Design, in collaboration with Boston and New York-based NADAAA, will be a strong contender for this year’s awards.

DesignInc’s Community Health Primary Care Centre in Ballarat is also impressive, with its “landscape spine” cutting an impressive swath through the two-story building.

As well as generous louvred windows, panels of polycarbonate used in walls and ceilings create a continuous interior glow throughout the day. With its brick floor and generous indoor planting scheme, there’s a strong connection with its semi-rural setting…
