Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

NEW YORK: The hundred and thirty-seventh entry for the seniors housing Global Award for 2015 has been received.

A new “high-tech” senior-living community now in the planning stages will feature touchscreen devices to access health and medical records, wireless caregiver alert systems and specially engineered exercise equipment.

Houston-based PinPoint Commercial said it will begin building The Legacy at Sante Fe as early as June.

The Legacy at Santa Fe will be a large single structure split into separate living areas, with a total of 84 units offering a mix of limited assistance, traditional assisted living and memory care. The facility also will house a restaurant, a movie theater, a general store, a gym and a library.
