Charity sets up retirement home for cats

PORTLAND: An animal-loving charity boss claims she’s created the first dedicated retirement home for cats — or OAPs (Old Age Pussycats), as they’re now known.

Jain Hills says the unique establishment houses nearly 80 aging felines.

With luxuries, including heated beds, an open fire and little sofas, the facility aims to provide cats whose owners have died or abandoned them with a safe retreat. Hills reckons nobody else is running a charity on the same scale…
