Reminiscence artwork being increasingly used in skilled nursing homes

AUSTIN: A skilled nursing home is to use artwork in order to help dementia residents connect with their past.

Three artists have been commissioned to create streetscapes, landmarks and representations of life in the 1940s and 1950s.

The ‘reminiscence’ artwork has been painted in the common areas where a sensory garden will be created later this month.
