Alzheimer’s study claims that costs will explode “wildly erroneous”

SAN FRANCISCO: A new study that claims that the financial burden created by dementia will grow in a straight line for the next 40 years is misleading, mischievous and almost certainly wrong.

Nothing in economics goes in a straight line for more than 10 minutes.

The report also ignores the advance of medicines, how a greater understanding of dementia will modify human behavior, public education, advances in brain rewiring and a dozen other factors which will impact on dementia detection rates…
