Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophyNEW YORK: The eleventh entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2017 has been received.

A $65 million plan for a West Perth residential care facility has been lodged with the City of Vincent.

The proposal, by not-for-profit aged-care provider Rosewood, is for a comprehensive redevelopment of its 5454sqm Cleaver Street property, which includes heritage cottage Florence Hummerston Lodge.

The redevelopment of the 52-bed building would transform it into an architect designed, six-storey residential-care facility for 152 people with a graduated two storeys facing Cleaver Street. Florence Hummerston Lodge would get a $500,000 restoration. The existing buildings are said to be dated, inefficient and in desperate need of renovation.
