NEW YORK: The five hundred and eighty-second entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

They could be the solution to the housing crisis – small, prefabricated apartment units that can be bolted together in blocks and shifted from place to place on the back of a truck.
Wellington Company property developer Ian Cassels plans to build six of the two-bedroom modular housing units on a Porirua City Council-owned car park near the railway station, and hopes they can kickstart a $75 million building boom with another 2000 planned for Crown-owned land in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch.
