Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophyNEW YORK: The five hundred and seventieth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

An affordable-condo project is slated to be built in Pierrefonds-Roxboro, with 19 of the 26 units targeting larger families in the borough.

“I’m excited. It’s the first of its kind in Pierrefonds-Roxboro,” borough Mayor Jim Beis said. “This type of housing is really lacking in the West Island.”

The project, which will include 19 three-bedrooms units, will be built on Gouin Blvd. near Third Ave.

The project is one of two certified by the Société d’habitation et de développement de Montréal (SHDM) and approved by Montreal’s executive committee last week.
