Diagnosis of dementia can bring ‘silver lining’ to some

silver_150NEW YORK: A diagnosis of dementia may have a “silver lining” as those who know their fate value life more highly, an Alzheimer’s conference has been told.

A study of patients with early dementia or mild cognitive impairment found that more than half of patients said their diagnosis had brought an appreciation of life.
