But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat.

1076: A lawsuit filed Wednesday against a senior living facility alleges staff at the agency did nothing to help a 68-year-old lesbian resident who endured physical and verbal harassment by other residents at the facility on the basis of her sexual orientation.
