NEW YORK: The three hundred and eighteenth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.
Citywide, Breaking Ground operates two transitional houses (390 units) and 2,899 units of permanent supportive housing. The new Bronx apartments offer “a sense of permanence, a sense of belonging to the streetscape,” explained Rick Cook, founding principal. Both buildings in this latest development, set between wide Park and Webster avenues, incorporate biophilic design, one of COOKFOX’s guiding practices.
