Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophyNEW YORK: The two hundred and thirteenth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

A £3.8 million affordable housing development in Walthamstow has officially been opened.

Circle 33’s new development, in Beaconsfield Road, is built on the site of the former Francis House skilled nursing home, which was closed by Waltham Forest council in 2011 due a reduction in people being placed in residential care.

The development has a total of 30 homes which are all earmarked for either shared ownership or affordable rent.

The scheme is a mixture of smaller apartments and larger two-storey family homes.

It is built around a new residential road that connects Longfellow and Beaconsfield Road…
