Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophyNEW YORK: The two hundred and ninth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

The 60-unit apartment project, developed by long-time local lawyers Manley and Richard Thaler, is intended for the 55+ crowd. Originally, the apartments were intended for a different part of the local market – student housing.

“We were involved since it was approved as student housing, but it didn’t make sense, it didn’t work very well,” said Karl Schuler of Taylor the Builders. Rochester-based Taylor, which recently opened a new regional office on the Commons, serves as general contractor for the project. “We were involved in the redesign, and leading the development team as it were”…
