NEW YORK: The one hundred and fifty-second entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.
A local development team believes it has the ideal setting for a new senior housing development in Stillwater.
Northland Real Estate Group and project partners are pitching the proposed $60 million, 220- to 240-unit Croix Bay project to the city with hopes of starting construction as soon as this summer.
The 50-acre development site is just south of 75th Street North and east of Rutherford Elementary School. It overlooks Long Lake on rugged terrain replete with rolling hills, streams, forests and wildlife.
“It really looks like the north woods up there,” said Brian Farrell, president of Minneapolis-based Northland.
Other project partners include Minneapolis-based Landform (site design, engineering, planning, management of entitlement process), Minneapolis-based Ebenezer Management Services (management and operation), St. Paul-based Pope Architects (architectural and interior design), and Minnetonka-based Welsh Construction.
