Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy NEW YORK: The one hundred and forty-seventh entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.

After more than 20 months of public hearings and planning, the new affordable independent living center for seniors, St. Elizabeth Residences, has passed muster with the Channahon Village Board and is on its way to development.

The board Monday approved an annexation and development agreement with Bishop J. Peter Sartain of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Joliet; new zoning regulations for Channahon’s Town Center; and a special-use permit for a planned unit development that will allow the project to proceed, pending staff approval of engineering.
