NEW YORK: The one hundred and twenty-sixth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards 2016 has been received.
Julian B. Lane Park is intended to be the centrepiece of the city’s plan to transform the west bank of the Hillsborough River.
The run-down 23-acre park was built in the 1970s and attracts few visitors. The city wants to overhaul it, adding new boat houses for rowers and a community centre, and open up access to the river for the public. But the $35 million price tag is proving a stretch for the city, which this year earmarked just $5 million for the park, almost 60 percent of its total park construction budget for 2016…
