Age care compounds becoming soft crime targets

But evidence is mounting that age-apartheid compounds are increasingly becoming soft crime targets and the care sector is trashing its reputation by doing nothing to effectively counter the growing threat:

531: The owners of a care facility are to pay compensation to the family of an Alzheimer’s patient who died after slipping out of a nursing home in sweltering heat.

He was unsupervised when he maneuvered his wheelchair onto an outdoor patio and got stuck. Staff later found him with third degree burns and heat stroke, and he died two weeks later.
