Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy1NEW YORK: The eight hundred and fiftieth entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.

Springfield-based O’Reilly Development Company announced plans Monday for two new senior living communities: an $18.4 million development in Nixa and a $35.8 million development in St. Charles.

Construction is expected to begin on both projects later this year. The Nixa community, which will be called The Castlewood Senior Living, is expected to be completed in early 2017. The St. Charles development, called The Boulevard Senior Living, is slated to wrap up later that year.

Both developments will be “continuum of care” communities, with neighbourhoods designated independent living, assisted living, and “memory care,” according to the company. The Nixa project will have 104 units total, compared to 218 in St. Charles…
