Seniors housing developers compete for Global Award

trophy1NEW YORK: The seven hundred and seventy seventh entry for the seniors housing Global Awards for 2015 has been received.

Contractor Rydon has picked up £20m worth of new-build, refurbishment and redevelopment contracts with registered social housing providers in London and the southeast.

The projects for Paradigm Housing and The Hyde Group cover a variety of works on affordable and sheltered housing developments across London, East Sussex and Kent.

The largest is a £7m project for Paradigm Housing in East London, involving the redevelopment of Lea Bridge House, a 10-storey hostel for homeless people. Two single-storey wings of a 10-storey tower will be demolished and replaced with two new-build hostel blocks, providing additional bedrooms and communal facilities.
